WASHI 和紙
WA (和) meaning Japanese + SHI (紙), meaning paper.
WASHI is made from a variety of natural trees and through a defined process involving cold, natural running water and other elements to eventually deliver a refined, strong and superior paper product used in all types of creative and functional endeavours.
Paper is one of the main mediums for the creative art – not just as a blank, flat canvas but in other guises, too.
WASHI jeans uses an indigo dyed fabric woven from a combination of cotton and washi paper yarn to make our most exclusive raw denim jeans.
