New Crafts inspire luxury narratives with exclusive collaborations between artists and brands. From May 21 to 25, 2025, the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris hosted a new edition of the Révélations Fair—an unmissable event dedicated to Crafts & Arts. Driven by a strong desire to showcase savoir-faire, this fair embodies the revival of fine craftsmanship, both in France and internationally.

Since its inception, Révélations has gathered artisans, designers, publishing houses, galleries, and institutions every two years. The 2025 edition reaffirmed the vital role of craftsmanship in the creative landscape: no longer relics of the past, artisans are now key players in shaping the future—at the crossroads of luxury, eco-design, and artistic experimentation. Balancing ancient techniques with modern hybridizations, Révélations celebrates more than heritage; it celebrates a promise—one shaped by hands that mold, innovate, and open new worlds.

This renewed interest didn’t emerge out of nowhere. The fair’s success reflects a broader renaissance of artistic trades, strongly supported by leading luxury brands. Chanel, with the opening of the 19M gallery in 2021, and Loewe, through its Craft Prize, are actively working to spotlight artisans and their expertise. Exclusive collaborations—such as those by Guerlain or Martell, notably with this year’s exhibitor Laurentine Périlhou—fully integrate craftsmanship into brand narratives, through window displays, objects, or limited editions.

Organizations like Artisan d’Avenir play a key role by offering training, mentorship, and network development to help artisans sustain their activity and pass on their knowledge. Meanwhile, the Comité Colbert, which unites nearly 100 French luxury houses, continues to strengthen ties between fine craftsmanship and luxury, promoting global influence through collaborative projects and creative support initiatives.

Four artists stood out at this year’s fair through their bold and singular voices.

• Anne Féat Gaiss A magnetic creation blending textiles, embroidery, and wall sculpture. Vibrant textures and merging colors come together in a work that sits between painting and object. It’s a poetic visual language unique to Anne Féat Gaiss, where tactile sensitivity meets striking visual impact.
• Lucie Touré represents contemporary textile excellence. She works with paper—weaving, cutting, and enhancing it with pigments to create vibrant, almost living surfaces. Her work, balancing textile and graphic art, fascinates with its finesse and mastery.
• Solenne Jolivet, a pioneer in contemporary embroidery, composes true textile frescoes where ornament becomes language. Her pieces merge raw material, refinement, and sacred symbolism with a resolutely modern approach.
• Silver Sentimenti explores a unique artistic language combining ceramics and leather with embroidery, weaving, and patina. Their work investigates the tension between rigidity and flexibility—a powerful, unexpected visual language.

Between tradition, experimentation, and transmission, today’s artisans reaffirm their essential role in a time seeking sustainability, substance—and above all, meaning.

Tomorrow, craftsmanship won’t simply preserve the knowledge of the past; it will expand and transform it. When age-old gestures meet the intelligence of contemporary technologies, new creative territories open up. This is exemplified by the work of Casey Curran, whose kinetic sculptures—entirely handmade—blend artisanal finesse with poetic engineering. His collaboration with Iris van Herpen, a leading figure in experimental couture, brings to life pieces where movement, textiles, and technological innovation merge into a radically new aesthetic. Like the creations of the Dutch designer, recently exhibited at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, where couture flirts with 3D printing, craftsmanship becomes an infinite field of exploration. Where ancient gestures embrace future materials, a bold vision of creation takes shape: free, experimental, and ever-evolving.
